Yashodapura Eco Village (YEV)

Short Story of Project

ISKCON Cambodia, under the guidance of HH Bhakti Raghava Swami Maharaja, started this rural project in the year 2008 and gradually epanded the initial 24 acres to the present 108 acres (close to 44 hectares) of forest, fruit orchard, agriculture and bush land.

Access to the land and the Raja Margas within the land were initially gradually developed. We are now expanding our agricultural activities and with the help of local villagers.

Our system right now is on sharing production 15% with going to each local family. Over a period of time, some of the villagers are starting to practice chanting and worshipping the Happy Doll Gaura Nitai in their home.

Description of Ongoing Activities

Recently we have cultivated 4 hectares of rice field and 10 hectares of mixed agricultural. We have 15 local families connected with the agriculture production on a sharing basis.

We now have four cows, about 1 hectare of fruits trees, and the rest covers more than 10 hectares forest and bushes.

We perform Go Puja every month and we also distribute Prasadam regularly in the surrouding villages.
